General Description:

Conditions in this position vary day to day. Maintenance technicians take work orders from around the treasure valley, drive to location, and connect with tenants to resolve issues. The ideal maintenance technician is not bothered when crawling under manufactured homes, or climbing tall ladders.

Maintenance technicians at Wave Property Management work full-time during the day and work on call during weekends on a rotation base for emergency calls.

Maintenance technicians conduct business in accordance with company policies, core values, state and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, and Fair Housing.

All offers of employment at Wave Property Management are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check and drug test. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates and on all employees who are promoted, as deemed necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Standing, walking, and/or sitting for extended periods of time

Frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, bending, twisting, and stretching.

Ability to use standard maintenance equipment.

Able to shovel snow.

Comfortable with height up to 25 feet

Position Responsibilities and Objectives:

Start and finish flooring projects installation including restoration of subfloor and installation of laminate/linoleum materials

Repair minor and major water leaks including but not limited to: inside, around, or under units.

Assess and repair roofing damage

Install new windows, including frame adjustments

Install shower pan, shower enclosures, and drainpipes

Experienced in:

General plumbing, sewer pipe installation and repair

HVAC systems, including diagnosis, part replacement and troubleshooting

General knowledge of electrical wiring, GFCI receptacles, light switches, outlets and breaker switches

Diagnosing the appropriate part replacement for both gas and electric ranges

Diagnosing and replacing parts on various refrigerator brands

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.

Equipment and Machinery needed for this position:

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable using a voltmeter, proximity tester, multitool, impact drill, drain cleaning machine, etc

Qualifications:

A qualified applicant can present a valid driver’s license.

A qualified applicant possesses personal transportation, basic tools, and a smartphone for the use of mobile apps.
