Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Line Haul Driver with a clean driving record, positive attitude, courteous and professional demeanor at all times. Driver will be responsible for the overnight transportation of packages to/from the Company's "hub" facility in line with the Company's established service standards to ensure the safe, timely, accurate and secure handling of our customer's shipments.
Responsibilities & Duties
May be required to check-in, scan, sort and stage packages, assist in loading/unloading of trucks as necessary and load/unload shipments at customer locations.
Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions or equipment to the immediate supervisor.
Immediately report any accidents and/or injuries to the immediate supervisor.
Bring service issues and/or delays to the attention of immediate supervisor.
Required to use a hand truck to handle any and all shipments with a weight greater than 35 lbs.
Legibly complete and promptly submit the required reports, forms and all paperwork.
Required to carry and use company provided radio to communicate with Dispatch staff.
Comply with established Company policies and procedures, safety directives and dress code.
Qualifications Needed:
Valid CDL Class A Driver License
All applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age, with good communication skills
Clean 10 year DMV Driver Record
Successfully complete all pre-employment screenings
Safe operation of a motor vehicle
Ability to read and understand English and apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move items up to 75 pounds
Attention to detail and exemplary organization skills
Positive Attitude
Prior transportation and delivery service experience a plus
Geographic knowledge of the region you are working within
Physical requirements; while performing the duties of the job the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, carry and manipulate large and heavy items.
