Mickelsen Marble locally owned and operated since 1972 here in Idaho Falls are looking to hire a dependable, motivated individual to assist in cultured marble fabrication. As we are the only manufacturers and installers of cultured marble in the area we stay 2-3 months book at all times, so there is always consistent hours.
We offer paid training as you learn to help manufacture cultured marble assisting our lead manufacturing tech. Daily Duties include but are not limited to; Assisting in preparing a non stick to molds, cleaning off tables, preparing tables for manufacturing, rolling around tables on a roller conveyer system on tracks threw all the different steps of manufacturing.
The cultured marble being a man made marble consisting primarily of crushed real marble which is primarily limestone with a gel-coat finished waterproof surface similar to a cars gel coating. So we conduct a mask fitness evaluation (this ensures you are healthy enough to wear a respirator). A half mask respirator is required when gel-coat is being sprayed and when the marble is being poured into the molds so 3-4 hours a day would require mask usage. Occasionally we may also cross train into other areas as the need arises, so ability to learn other areas is much appreciated.
Specific qualifications include:
Ability to Arrive on time daily.
Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shift
The manufacturing work week will consist of M-F 6 am to 2 to 3 pm daily, so 8 to 9-hour daily with Saturday and Sunday we are closed.
Payroll is done weekly, so you are paid every Fridays for the prior work week.
Major holidays we are closed.
30 min paid lunch
Starting wage of $14.00 an hour, otherwise depending on experience and willingness to work. After a couple months we will reevaluate your performance and adjust wages based on attitude, timeliness, and performance.
