Title: Membership Coordinator - Eastern Idaho

Duty Location: Eastern Idaho Region travel required
The Idaho Associated General Contractors (Idaho AGC) is a non-profit, member-supported trade association representing the entire construction industry in all parts of the state of Idaho. The AGC staff prides itself in going above and beyond in its efforts to serve the needs of the members and advance the causes important to the construction industry.
All AGC staff members participate in the recruitment of new members; retention of current members; conducting events and meetings; and operate with a philosophy focused on teamwork and cooperation. All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner that balances team and individual responsibilities while maintaining a positive team spirit. Overview of Duties:

Working together with other AGC staff members including the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Member Engagement, Director of Member Service, and others, the Eastern Idaho Regional Coordinator plays a key role in the development and implementation of the association s marketing and communications strategy; actively recruits new members; engages with current members; helps organize and conduct membership events; and represents the association at a wide range of activities and functions.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
40% New Member Recruitment
Actively recruit new members to the organization
Assist new members in becoming active in all AGC activities
35% Member Retention
Visit each member of the AGC in region regularly
Assist AGC members in receiving all the benefits of membership including discount programs and participation in AGC committees and activities
Assist AGC members in resolving issues with governmental agencies
10% Event Management
Work directly with Service and Supply members across region to develop and carry out successful networking events
Assist other AGC staff members to organize and execute activities aimed and providing member benefit, such as annual golf outing, Contractor Connection, lunch and learn sessions, annual gala, and other events
10% Community/Government Relations
Represent AGC in the community including participation in local Chambers of Commerce and civic organizations
Appear before local units of government (city councils; county commissions; local highway district boards; etc.) when necessary to advance AGC goals and policies
Interact with local opinion leaders to foster a positive opinion of the AGC
Interact with local elected officials including legislators to strengthen connection to AGC and assist in resolving constituent problems and requests
5% Administrative
Complete weekly reports on all activities
Daily update database to track all contact with current and potential members
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on marketing, business administration, public affairs, construction, or related area; and
A minimum of two years experience in a related field.
OR
A minimum of four years demonstrated expertise and skill in membership recruitment and retention activities.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations
Valid driver s license
General Competencies
Strong communication skills and ability to successfully interact with others in a wide range of settings.
Working knowledge of the Internet and web-based applications.
Experience using Microsoft Office [Windows, Word, Excel, Access, etc.].
Ability to work independently in a professional team environment.
Must be organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
