Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Instructional Designer to work in our Curriculum Development & Delivery group. Our team works a 9x80 hybrid schedule located out of our Idaho Falls REC facility with every other Friday off. This position is a 1-year Project Hire position that could potentially lead to a full-time regular position.You will report directly to the group manager in efforts to design and develop classroom, web-based, virtual, or other hybrid learning products for the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) program and other Department of Homeland Security customers, DoD components, academia, and private sector entities.Responsibilities Include:

Analyze, design, develop, and evaluate training products and solutions in direct support of DHS/CISA, DOE, DoD, and other customers.

Collaborate with agency's Program Management Office (PMO) and other government agency customers concerning training curriculum development activities supporting protection of control system networks, components and cyber threats to several critical infrastructure locations, and securing the Homeland in general.

Provide input for improvements to existing web-based, classroom, and network-based training systems using instructional design, learning experience design skills and internet/web experience.

Assess technical background, learner-centered/adult learning methods, and collaboration with senior instructional designers to create high quality products using creative methods.

Assist with quality reviews and attend design meetings for products ensuring product quality, consistency, and conformance to customer requirements and target audience needs.

Provide suggestions and implement quality and productivity improvements that improve product quality and provide cost savings to customers.

Conduct training needs analyses, needs assessments, and training evaluation activities.

Provide necessary reports and status documents to facilitate customer updates and product delivery.

Work as a team with other instructional designers, or individually to design and development new learning products, utilize relevant curriculum materials draw from interviews with subject matter experts, and assist a senior Instructional Designer with facilitating courses.

Provide input for improvements to existing training systems using instructional design/learning experience design skills and experience.

Employ skillsets to create high quality products using innovative and creative software and methods.

Collaborate with mentors to resolve and respond to comments from customers on assigned activities.

Provide quality reviews and attend design meetings for products ensuring product quality, consistency, and conformance to customer requirements and target audience needs.

Provide suggestions and implement improvements that increase product quality and provide cost savings to the customer.

Minimum Requirements:

PR0200: Bachelors degree 2 years experience or Master's 1 years or 10 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

PR0300: Bachelors degree 5 years experience or Master's 3 years or 13 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Ability to apply a systematic approach to training.

Routinely interact with all levels of internal and external customers.

Specialty software skills, such as Articulate products (Storyline, Rise, and Review), Adobe Products (i.e., Premier Pro), Vyond, and Captivate.

Experience incorporating AR/VR/MR capabilities into course curriculum.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

PR0200 Salary Grade: 180 ($64,272 - $102,840)

PR0300 Salary Grade: 190 ($72,528 - $119,652)
