Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Nuclear Facility Project Scheduler to work in our Project Support department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) facility with every Friday off.You will develop project resource loaded schedules for the ATR facility at the Idaho National Laboratory during outage and online periods. This will include developing critical path schedules and integrating project schedules with the ATR Production Control schedules. You will report directly to the Manager of Project Support for the ATR.Responsibilities Include:

Function as a Senior Project Scheduler for small to complex engineering and construction projects.

Evaluate scheduling techniques and apply changes to supporting projects. Communicate impacts to outage and online production schedules.

Prepare project schedules through interaction with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project managers to develop appropriate level of detail for schedule activity definition to support planning, integration, execution, monitoring, and reporting needs.

Coordinate schedule development with associated Project Controls Analyst or Planning and Financial Controls Specialist.

Identify potential scheduling conflicts in advance and inform management for resolution. Make recommendations to the Outage and Online Managers for resource allocations to complete the scheduled work and to address emergent work issues.

Determine when project schedules require electrical or system outages and identify all outage and online work affected by electrical or system outages. Coordinate with the Work Week Managers and other schedulers any activities that need to be pushed into a future work week or pulled.

Conduct and report schedule impact and schedule forensic analysis.

Develop ad-hoc schedules/reports.

Be the organizational spokesperson on advanced projects. Advise management and customers on scheduling matters that may affect projects.

Work on extensive scheduling and project data management. Apply broad expertise and unique knowledge of scheduling practices. Use project scheduling knowledge to contribute to development of project/ATR objectives.

Mentor staff and management. Work on unique scheduling issues and provide solutions. Create formal networks, internal and external to INL, involving coordinating among scheduling committees/groups.

Analyze and develop advanced scheduling concepts, techniques, and practices and guide this development across INL and other DOE facilities and agencies.

Be the national authority on scheduling expectations and requirements associated with multiple high-profile and joint project ventures associated with ATR. You will be considered the technical subject matter expert (SME) for all matters concerning project outage and online scheduling.

Work is performed with little or no supervision and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches.

Minimum Requirements:

PR0300: Bachelor of Science degree and 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree requirements.

PR0400: Bachelor of Science degree and 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree requirements.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

Salary Grades: PR0300 - 210 ($95,928 - $158,232) / PR0400 - 220 ($110,316 - $181,956)

TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.

Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.

This is an onsite position at our ATR complex.
