Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Control Technician to work in our Electrical Crafts department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our SMC facility with every or Friday off. This posting may hire throughout the year, based on needs.Individuals interested in a TS300 level will be an experienced level journeyman electrician or electronics technician. Complete acquaintance with an understanding of the general and detailed aspects of electrical/electronics and their practical applications to a wide range of tasks ordinarily encountered.A level TS0400 is a fully proficient level journeyman electrician or electronics technician with extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide, comprehensive acquaintance with an understanding of both general and specific aspects of electrical/electronics and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.Responsibilities Include:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work on SMC equipment and facilities using LWP-6200 and ISMS functions and principles.

Have basic experience, especially automated manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, electronic equipment, control equipment, and facilities.

Apply skills to learning and maintaining the equipment that is unique to SMC.

Read drawings, prints and schematics.

Provide leadership by being Person-In-Charge (PIC) on work packages.

Be collaborative between other organizations to help ensure safe and successful maintenance on SMC facility equipment.

Provide proper and accurate log keeping of work orders during and completion of maintenance activities.

Minimum Requirements:

TS0400: HS Diploma and six years relevant experience, or an A.A.S. degree in an electronics field plus two years relevant experience, or Vocational Certificate plus four years relevant experience.

TS0300: HS Diploma and four years relevant experience, or an A.A.S degree in an electronics field, or Vocational Certificate plus two years relevant experience.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

TS0300 Salary Grade: 170 ($57,108 - $91,440))

TS0400 Salary Grade: 180 ($64,272 - $102,840)

TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
