The Uniontown Co-Operative Association is a financially strong, farmer-owned organization whose purpose is to store, market and process our patrons agricultural products and provide other beneficial supplies and services.
We are looking for a qualified candidate to assist in the oversight of our seed, processing and warehouse operations. Major responsibilities will be to operate elevators, seed plant and over-see quality. Additional duties would be to provide operating assistance and perform maintenance and repairs as needed. Operating and assisting in the oversight of elevator loading during harvest. Supervising seed plant staff and other warehouse personnel assigned. Potential for promotion and additional duties in the future.
Education: Ideal candidate for this job should have a high school degree and some ag-related college education or experience related to the job.
Experience: Three years operating a grain elevator and supervised on job seed plant training operating cleaning equipment and seed treatment equipment are minimum experience requirements. Must have the ability to manage seed and commodity quality from field inspection on through harvest intake and seed processing. Job requires capability for mathematical computations of chemical dilutions for seed treating important for both seed viability and operating cost standpoints. Must be able to obtain a seed treatment pesticide applicators license within 60 days of hire. A drivers license with a CDL endorsement or the ability to obtain a CDL.
Candidate should have basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Position requires the ability to perform physical labor.
