Pharmacist
Department: Pharmacy
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, responsible for assigned pharmacy duties. Maintains the pharmacy within established hospital and regulatory agency laws, and Department of Public Health Regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists with policy and procedures for pharmacy services.
Assists with personnel management and associated training and competencies
Oversees remote pharmacy services.
Assists with the Formulary Management including: Pharmacy contract compliance, interchanges, shortage management.
Delegated management of formulary from the medical staff and all applicable system interdependencies including management of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee.
Assists with Inventory Management
Distribution system for the enterprise
Pyxis system maintenance
Controlled substance inventory
Inventory optimization additions/deletions
Outdates/returns
Purchasing
Inter-department and inter-pharmacy sales
Regional support
Clinic medication orders
Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
Always maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information
Follows HIPAA regulations and policies
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science.
Idaho Pharmaceutical License, required
PharmD Certification, preferred
3-5 years’ experience, preferred
