Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office, Shipping and Assembly Clerk to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Grangeville, ID. This position is full time, Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Benefits include paid vacation, holiday pay, health insurance, medical savings, 401(k) retirement. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in reception, sales, shipping, product assembly and product inspection to ensure the efficient flow of the highest quality parts to our customers. This position requires customer service skills, a strong understanding of office and computer operations, basic knowledge of various tools and equipment, and the ability to work closely with others as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Answering and screening phone calls, providing customer service through sales and account information, taking orders over the phone and by email.
Maintain inventory accuracy by data entry, physical vs data count reconciliation and updating records as necessary.
Accurately process and package outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.
Use a variety of hand and power tools to fit, join, and secure parts and subassemblies to create a final product.
Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on individual components and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies, malfunctions, or defective parts that arise during the assembly process.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Professional verbal skills, active listening to understand needs, clear written communication for emails, and appropriate phone etiquette. The ability to provide a friendly and helpful experience for all visitors and callers is essential.
Strong skills in prioritizing, managing time, maintaining organized records, and computer operation are necessary (prefer experience with email, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks.)
Previous experience in a shipping role or similar position within a manufacturing facility is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management systems and shipping software is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated is required.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is advantageous.
Basic understanding of assembly processes and factory workflows is a plus.
