Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial vehicles and diesel-powered equipment. The ideal candidate should have experience with heavy-duty trucks and a strong understanding of diesel engines and systems.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in commercial vehicles.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake checks, engine repairs, and exhaust system work.
Inspect and test vehicle systems to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Work efficiently to meet deadlines and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a focus on commercial vehicles.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, and other key vehicle components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer-based diagnostic systems.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and safety standards.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
ASE Certification or equivalent is a plus.
