Eastern Oregon based highway construction company is hiring a General Operations Superintendent with knowledge and experience in all aspects of highway construction. Applicants must have previous supervisory experience in construction industry.
General Operations Superintendent is responsible for planning, scheduling, directing, and coordinating all highway construction projects. Job duties include all aspects of management including direction and supervision of employees and projects from pre-construction to completion. Maintain daily progress reports. Enforce company policy as it relates to safety and quality. This person will work in both office and field environments.
Prefer college degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience
Previous experience in road construction and/or construction industry is required
Prior management/supervisory experience in the road construction and/or construction industry preferred
Proven experience in project management
Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees as well as contractors and engineers
Demonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiar with local DOT standards
Pay $55k - $80k DOE with excellent benefits.
