Our goal is to maintain healthy, pest-free landscapes while ensuring excellent service delivery. We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and help ensure that all teams and services run efficiently.
Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of field operations, including supervision of lawn care, pest control, and snow removal crews, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires close collaboration with office staff and field teams to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Operations Management:
Oversee and manage lawn care, pest control, and snow removal teams, ensuring that all services are performed safely, effectively, and to the highest quality standards. Spending time in the field conducting applications, inspecting properties, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Staff Training & Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new and current staff. Ensure that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver quality services while following safety protocols.
Scheduling & Dispatch:
Work closely with office staff to create and manage daily and weekly schedules. Ensure effective communication between the office and field teams, and act as the main point of contact for coordination.
Licensed Spraying Operations:
Must hold necessary certifications and licenses to supervise and perform chemical spraying services. Ensure that all spraying operations are compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
Snow Removal Operations:
Oversee and manage snow removal teams, ensuring properties are serviced efficiently and safely during the winter season.
Office Duties:
Be present in the office during critical times in the morning (when crews are preparing for the day) and in the afternoon (when crews are returning), ensuring smooth start and end-of-day operations. Flexibility to be in the field as needed during other times of the day.
Property Inspections:
Visit and inspect properties to ensure the quality of services and adherence to standards. Provide feedback and recommendations for further services when necessary.
Qualifications:
Valid Idaho State applicators license or licensed in MT, OR, UT, WA, WY and can obtain a reciprocal license in Idaho (required).
3-5 years of experience in lawn care, pest control, and snow removal, with proven management or supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in staff training and development.
Proficiency in scheduling.
Mechanical background is a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience.
Company-provided cell phone and vehicle (no additional benefits offered).
Schedule:
8 to 10-hour shifts, primarily Monday through Friday.
The role requires a combination of office presence in the morning and afternoon for coordination with teams, as well as hands-on fieldwork throughout the day as needed.
