Position Summary:The Shipper is responsible for preparing, verifying, and loading outgoing shipments of finished composite decking products. This role ensures that all shipments are accurate, properly packaged, and meet customer and carrier requirements while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities:· Prepare finished goods for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and staging.· Verify shipping documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, and load sheets.· Load trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts or other material handling equipment.· Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with specifications.· Communicate with the Lead Shipper and Warehouse Manager regarding shipping schedules and priorities.· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.· Assist with inventory updates and documentation related to outbound shipments.· Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.· Report any shipping discrepancies, delays, or equipment issues promptly. Qualifications:· High school diploma or GED required.· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics roles preferred.· Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.· Ability to read and understand shipping documents and instructions.· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Work Environment:· Shipping dock and warehouse environment with exposure to forklifts, loading equipment, and outdoor conditions.· Requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. Compensation & Benefits:· Competitive hourly wage· Health, dental, and vision insurance· 401(k) with company match· Paid time off and holidays· Opportunities for training and advancement
