Summary:

The Enterprise Application Services team is looking for an Application Support Analyst I. The ideal candidate will have a passion and natural curiosity for technology, desire to grow their career, and at least a year of experience supporting COTS/LOB applications like ERP, CRM, and HCM. They would be joining a team that serves as the protector of our client's critical business systems that support hundreds of retail stores and thousands of employees.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide triage and tier 1 support applications and our client's custom business applications including, but not limited to, user administration, software configuration updates, and server/service restarts
  • Provide daily incident resolution from service requests received through walk-up, email, chat, and calls; tracking progress and resolution in an incident management system
  • Identify gaps in user knowledge and providing training as necessary
  • Create and update operational documents and support knowledge articles
  • Identify recurring problems and communicate to appropriate teams for remediation
  • Stay informed of changes to all supported software and systems


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of any common industry COTS/LOB application
  • Conceptual understanding of networking
  • Conceptual understanding of databases and database queries
  • Demonstrated analytical, deductive reasoning and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated organization skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with personnel on all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of the team
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision


Education, Training and Experience:
  • 1+ years of relevant technology experience
  • Associate degree in technology field or related professional experience


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • The ability to communicate and understand the spoken word are important as well, for example:
    • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
    • Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).


Tools and Equipment Used:
  • Laptop or desktop computer, phone, copy machine


Travel:
  • Less than 10%
