The Division is looking for three family services workers for ourBoiseandCaldwellteams who will join regional case managers to search, locate, engage, and connect families with youth who need permanency whether that be through adoption, guardianship or post 18 support. These youth are typically adolescents who have completed treatment and now are needing families to help them flourish within a community setting. The family service workers will serve as the process facilitators and will be supported by our child welfare clinician teams. The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.This position is not eligible for telework. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Explore family and friend connections with youth and relevant collateral sources.

Review youth record and gather information that will help a youth be successful in a home and/or in the community.

Search for family/connection options and orient those identified to the youth's needs.

Facilitate team meetings ensuring all the pertinent parties know their role and can attend.

Provide documentation that outlines next steps and assignments for the next meeting. Distribute to all team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum/specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Good knowledge of human services principles and practices including behavioral management methods, social and family systems, cognitive behavioral education and case management methods. Typically gained by a certification as a psychosocial rehabilitation specialist in accordance with USPRA requirementsOR bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, behavioral science, special education, psychosocial rehabilitation or healthcare or related field from a nationally accredited university or collegeOR2-4 upper division courses as stated above AND 2-4 years’ work experienceORexperience that represents the knowledge level above.

Computer literacy for data entry, electronic mail, composing reports and letters, and storing and retrieving documents.

Valid driver's license.
