Description:We are looking for a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles. This role involves designing, developing, modifying, and testing existing mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems used in the manufacturing of land-based drilling equipment, as well as engaging in research and development projects. Specific areas of focus include working with manufacturing, product management, and a team of engineers to ensure on-time delivery and continuous product improvement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee each drill from the initial configuration through production and delivery to ensure the final product is delivered as designed.Develop a thorough understanding of the various products produced by Bay Shore Systems.Create configuration and transport specification drawings as requested by the sales department.Create, check, and update engineering drawings and design documentation.Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and develop improvements.Design and develop prototypes.Analyze and test prototypes and each revision of a device.Prepare documentation of critical analysis and provide suggestions for correcting errors.Collaborate with production personnel for design improvements and/or changes to enhance manufacturability.Support service teams in troubleshooting systems in the field.Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.Skills:Solidworks, welding, steel fabrication, steel design, machiningTop Skills Details:Solidworks, weldingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
Heavy Equipment knowledge, operation, and maintenance experience a plus.
Experience in Steel design and fabrication is a plus.
PE license not require, but good to have.
