Housekeeper
Facility: Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center Status: Non-exempt
Direct Supervisor: Housekeeping Supervisor Indirect Supervisor:

Scheduling Requirements: Day/Evening Shift
Travel Requirements: Minimal to none
Job Summary
The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Housekeeping Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Job Responsibilities
The Housekeeper assumes daily responsibility in the following areas:
1. Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
2. Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
3. Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
4. Ensure that that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
5. Follow all cleaning schedules and policies established by the facility.
6. Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.
7. Follow all safety protocols and policies carefully.
8. Attend required in-services, or other required meetings.
9. Other tasks, duties or projects as assigned.
Essential Qualifications (Level 1)
1. Ability to make decisions independently, to follow directions and communicate effectively with other team members.
Essential Qualifications (Level 2)
2. Must be able to work in a laundry setting to follow written and/or oral instructions concerning the use of cleaning compounds and equipment, and be able to identify and sort personal laundry.
