Field Construction Technician (Underground Utilities Laborer)
Location: Gooding, Idaho
Pay Range: $19 – $27 per hour (DOE)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Underground Utilities Laborer to join our construction team. This position supports projects focused on conduit and fiber installation. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with trenching operations, including saw cutting, plowing, and micro-trenching.
Install conduit and fiber into handholes and manholes.
Set and place handholes and manholes.
Safely and efficiently operate tools and light machinery.
Restore job sites and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of construction experience, preferably in underground utility installation or related fieldwork.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Basic knowledge of underground utility systems and construction practices.
Ability to safely operate hand tools and light machinery (e.g., compactors, jackhammers).
Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math for recording measurements and following project plans.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Flexibility to work in various locations, as job sites may change daily.
Willingness to work varying hours depending on job, location, and season.
