Job Summary
Employee is responsible to fill bags with product and stack onto pallet, and the general duties of production in a safe and efficient manner
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential
Ensures Product Quality
Labels or codes on bags
Monitoring for contaminants
Repetitive lifting 50lb. and check weight of bags
Filling out paper work accurately, neatly and completely
Sift product into bags, barrels, totes to specified amount
Sewing, sealing of bags
Stack pallets properly ensuring the product is labeled
Keep the work area clean, organized and swept up between each batch
Follow colored coding systems
Following lock out procedures and safety practices, using safety equipment
Follow all GMP standards and safety standards while performing job duties
Rotate through positions or stay in positions according to Floor Leads discretion
Maintain good personal hygiene, follow GMPs and keep a clean, safe and sanitary work place. Immediately report any situation that may cause product to be contaminated
Additional
Complete special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential
Knowledge of food industry regulations, understands and is compliant with GMP standards
Able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
Able to travel to all areas of the plant efficiently, including climbing stairs
Must be able to work effectively and safely in a warm environment
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to read, write, add, and subtract
