Coordinates the credentialing processes including medical staff appointment and reappointment in accordance with the Bylaws and Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging Procedures Manual of Copley Memorial Hospital. The position provides ongoing support for the officers and leaders of the organized Medical Staff in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, policies, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements.Position Requirements :
High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of credentialing experience in Medical Staff Services Certification as a CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) or CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) preferred.
Strong business writing/composition skills; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Proficiency in Windows based computer software, which may include: Word processing, Excel Spreadsheet, Presentation and Data Base software applications. Experience with Microsoft Office required.
Pleasant, effective verbal and written communication skills essential.
Highly attentive to detail and accuracy with the ability to work independently and accurately in hectic situations.
Maintains strict confidentiality.
Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Must be a dependable self-starter with good problem solving skills.
