Position Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. Managing and analyzing all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing accounting and can partner with cross-functional teams to drive cost control and operational efficiencyKEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop and maintain accurate standard costing for products, including labor, materials, and overhead.Analyze production costs and variances, including purchase price, material usage, labor, and overhead.Prepare monthly cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation reports.Support & Analyze month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting.Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and operations teams to monitor cost trends and ensure cost accuracy.Conduct inventory analysis, including cycle counts, and reconciliation. (Support the Supply Chain and Warehouse teams)Support the annual budget process by providing cost projections and analysis. (Support the Lean team)Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and company policies.Recommend process improvements for cost accounting procedures and systems.Participate in ERP system enhancements or implementations related to costing and inventory modules.
