Job Overview
Physically disabled female seeking a Personal Assistant to provide home support in a rural town about 10 miles southeast of Champaign-Urbana.
Part time, 20 hours per week available
Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if preferred
$20/hour
General Duties;
Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene
Support client in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
Run errands
Perform light lifting when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe home for client
Requirements;
Pass criminal background check
Female-only
Literate, semi-fluent to fluent in English and able to write in English
High school diploma, higher education a plus
Dependable transportation, driver's license and vehicle insurance
Reliable, dependable, honest and respectful work ethic
Weekly grocery shopping and grocery pick-up
Housekeeping
Meal-prepping and cooking (experience with cooking a plus!)
Occasional errands in the community
Ability to use and navigate the internet and email
Bathing
Laundry
Home organization
Garbage can to/from curb
Bring in mail and packages
Perform various simple online tasks (uploading information, filling out forms etc.)
Good communication skills
Good memory
Must work independently and keep track of your own workload
Patience and empathy
Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field preferred
