Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Section Manager in leading team members, coordinating and delegating workflow and overseeing day to day operation of area; promoting cooperative team relationships, establishing and modifying priorities, gathering metrics, generating reports, overseeing work for multiple job classifications, etc.THIS POSITION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS THE EHS DEPARTMENT AND INCLUDES A VARIETY OF TASKS AND DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH SAFETY AND LEAN PRACTICES WITHIN THE FACILITYJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Under the direction of EHS manager, recomends changes in plant and warehouse new and existing equipment to ensure safety and regulatory complianceApplies knowledge of health and safety engineering processes and practices to identify the root cause and mitigate hazards and risksLeads the safety culture to support best practice sharing, identifying and resolving safety concerns and making improvementsEngages employees to lead a safety-first culture and accomplish safety performance objectives and targetsEnsures compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements, and corporate safety systemsRegularly lead problem-solving events to drive continuous improvementEnsures compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements, and corporate safety systemsOccasionally utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranesOccasionally perform material handling and warehousing functions as requiredWork independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work OT when requiredLead team meetings guiding daily priorities and change managementDemonstrating safety excellence and enforcing safety policies and proceduresContinuously managing training matrix to ensure team flexibilityEssential Job Functions:Occasionally lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pound as team liftOccasional bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasksConsistent usage of required PPE for task being performedWork in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesStanding and/or sitting at a desk while performing tasksBasic and/or Desired Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:Excellent written and verbal communications skillsDemonstrated proficiency in mathematical and analytical skillsWorking with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, and AccessGood attendance recordAbility to maintain accurate and complete recordsTop candidates will also have:Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing or logistics operationDemonstrated Lean Manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with OSHA 1910 CFRExperience with Job Hazard AssessmentsRelocation assistance is not available for this position.
