CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Our client is a rapidly growing and long-standing organization that continually partners with government agencies and international corporations looking to add a Payroll Accountant. This company is looking for an experienced professional that can work on a team just as effectively as they and work independently. Background and experience in general accounting and full cycle payroll is a must.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$35 – $40/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Payroll Accountant applicants must have strong attention to detail, and analytical skills. Looking for 3 to 5 years of experience with month-end close, accruals, fixed assets, and payroll processing using ADP. Ideal Payroll Accountant candidate should be hard working, and comfortable with meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with Deltek and ADP is a must have.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT:

Full cycle payroll processing and working with the payroll tax (multi-state)

Payroll deductions, adjustments, and weekly reporting

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts

Perform input, maintenance, and review of finances and expenses

Payroll Accounting

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong excel skills

Comprehensive experience working with Deltek and ADP

Multistate Payroll and Payroll Tax

General Accounting experience—journal entries, month-end, and financial reporting

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or related field is a plus, but not a must have
