Concierge Manager – Luxury Residential Property (River North, Chicago)

Salary: $70,000 per year (Full-Time, Salaried)

A premier luxury residential property in Chicago’s River North neighborhood is seeking an experienced Concierge Manager to oversee and elevate front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate brings a blend of hospitality leadership, operational expertise, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional resident service.

Position Summary

The Concierge Manager oversees concierge and front desk operations, ensuring exceptional resident service, safety, and building access management. This individual acts as a liaison between property management, residents, and staff, balancing hands-on leadership with administrative and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

-Leadership & Oversight

-Supervise daily concierge operations and maintain consistent, high-quality service standards

-Lead, train, and mentor concierge staff, fostering professionalism and accountability

-Oversee scheduling, coverage, and attendance to ensure seamless operations

-Uphold property and company policies regarding conduct, appearance, and attendance

-Operational Management

-Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring all posts are adequately covered

-Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and site post orders

-Conduct regular rounds and inspections to ensure staff compliance and readiness

-Support staff coverage as needed, including weekends or holidays

-Manage supply inventory, uniforms, and other operational resources

-Client Relations & Program Development

-Serve as the primary point of contact for property management and ownership

-Attend client meetings, provide operational updates, and present performance recaps

-Provide structured feedback and recommendations to leadership to strengthen the concierge program

-Build positive relationships with residents, guests, and building staff to ensure a welcoming, five-star environment

-Security & Access Control

-Oversee building access control systems and coordinate with security personnel

-Ensure concierge staff adhere to all safety and emergency procedures

-Maintain awareness of property activity and support security-related reporting

-Financial & Administrative Duties

-Monitor and manage monthly budgets, labor allocations, and supply expenses

-Prepare and submit weekly activity recaps, staffing reports, and site evaluations

-Maintain documentation for training, incidents, and policy compliance

-Continuous Improvement

-Identify opportunities for operational enhancement and implement new service initiatives

-Evaluate staff performance regularly, providing feedback and growth plans

-Support new hire onboarding, ensuring alignment with property standards and expectations

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in hospitality, luxury residential, or property management

Proven ability to manage teams and operations in a fast-paced, high-service environment

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and composed demeanor

Familiarity with scheduling and timekeeping software (Paycom or similar preferred)

Professional presentation and service-oriented mindset

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure coverage and operational success.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $70,000 per year

Health Insurance: BCBS (HMO, PPO, HSA options)

Dental & Vision: Principal

Retirement: 401(k) with 4% company match through JP Morgan Asset Management

Paid Time Off: 40 hours PTO and 40 hours Paid Sick Leave per year, plus one week of vacation
