We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role requires a passion for education, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in promoting the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in our care.
Duties
Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.
Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning.
Engage with children during activities, providing guidance and encouragement to promote their development.
Help manage behavior by employing effective behavior management techniques.
Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons for students with special needs or autism.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.

Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with students with autism is beneficial.
Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages learning and exploration.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
A genuine love for teaching and nurturing young minds.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50/hr (Paid every Friday)
Expected hours: 25 per week
1099 Independent Contractor Position (You are responsible to pay your own taxes. Taxes will not be withheld from payment)

Monday to Friday: 9:30am-2:30pm
Childcare: 3+ years experience(Required)
