Position Summary

We are looking for a bright, energetic, and strategic thinker with a proven track record in building and architecting best-in-class solutions (e.g., loyalty, payments, omni-pos, data science) to achieve our connected customer, omnichannel ambitions. A successful candidate should have a collaborative spirit and a passion for developing enterprise strategies and implement industry best practices.

A Day in the Life

• Embedded in the omnichannel and business teams to design and deliver strategic and practical solutions for our customers
• Role model and champion of modern ways-of-working such as Agile, DevOps and design thinking
• Establishing strategic IT reference architectures, roadmap, and patterns
• Develop and present presentations that clearly articulate technology solutions and strategies to senior management and technology staff
• Develop standards, principles, and policies to be implemented by solution architects
• Review and recommend technology and vendors in support the business goals
• Maintain a high-level of individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively and independently, and challenge others to do the same
• Access to Gartner research to maintain knowledge on latest industry news and challenges esp. in Merch tools

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent job experience
• Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills
• Demonstrated experience interacting, partnering, and influencing at all levels of an organization
• Fluent in English (in word and in writing)

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience and leadership (including at least 3 years as an Architect)
• Demonstrated ability to translate conceptual and strategic thinking into practical solutions
• Understanding of modern security, data, and integrations patterns
• Collaborative spirit working with peer architects in overlapping application domains (e.g., integration, security, platform)

Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:

• Experience in core retail application domains such as Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce, and Retail Store
• Modern software practices including agile, scrum, Kanban, DevOps and CI/CD
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and tools (BizzDesign )
