Description Robert Half is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Financial Services field. As the Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk, you will have the opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Financial Services industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Chicago, Illinois area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Your responsibilities
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Carry out additional projects as required
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Provide support during internal and external audits
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Command of Chromeriver
MS Dynamics 365 Business Central experience desired
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
