Acting as the primary liaison, the manager will interact with university offices, Marketing, Fund Accounting, Administration, Philanthropy, and external agencies to ensure smooth operations. The role requires embodying the Rush mission, vision, and values while adhering to the policies and procedures of Rush Medical Center and Rush University. Overall, the manager will play a crucial role in facilitating effective collaboration and communication within and outside the office.Other information:Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with five years of relevant experience, preferably in an administrative role within healthcare. Technologically savvy, experienced in web-based survey and assessment tools, and proficient in MS Office, Excel, and database management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of producing accurate documents with proper grammar and information. Manages event planning and logistics for various educational activities, including coordination with vendors and contract recommendations. Manages the annual faculty recognition reception, overseeing the nomination process, scoring, review, and logistics, including plaque acquisition and program drafting. Develops routine and special reports, surveys, and evaluations to support faculty initiatives. Creates PowerPoint presentations for faculty activities and data analysis, while also consulting on educational material development and acquiring CME/CE permissions for relevant programs. Prepares and manages travel reimbursement claims, check requests, and other accounts payable transactions. Develops and implements marketing and communication initiatives, including materials for academic and social activities. Designs and manages websites and departmental portals to ensure a clear and effective online presence. Facilitates cross-training for adequate coverage and reviews administrative, marketing, and planning processes to recommend improvements.
