The Audit Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating global programs and projects that support IA department vision and short and long-term goals , as well as leading and/or participating in audit projects of Aon business units , primarily in the Americas and ABS, to evaluate the adequacy of the business unit’s overall control environment . Global project management and subject matter expert on all our forward-looking initiatives, delivering project plans that balance competing priorities, as well as effectively monitoring and communicating status of initiatives to leadership
Implement strategic initiatives by defining a business case, creating a delivery plan, and executing in a timely manner according to plan. This includes actively engaging cross functionally within the department to manage and influence where needed to achieve department goals.
Manag e and/or participat e in audits evaluating the adequacy of controls for Aon business units and/ or key business processes
Seek and socialize learnings from external sources as well as functions within the department, including PPO, Data Analytics , S senior leadership and assurance practitioners to identify and develop innovative solutions to support department operations and strategic priorities .
Analyze data and determine strategies to help propel our initiatives forward both internally and externally .
Provide and produce thought le adership both for our department and our stakeholders on best practices.
Attend meetings and build relationships with key stakeholders, influencing where needed to obtain support for the implementation of new ideas , as well as provide the support and knowledge needed to bring ideas to life.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or comparable business degree, with professional designations/certifications preferred.
4+ plus years of audit experience with a large multi-national, professional services or public accounting firm.
A bility to take initiative in creatively problem solve, prioritize, create actionable plans, and deliver tangible outcomes
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate clearly, deliver messages with desired results, listen effectively and demonstrate sound judgment
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and influence with all levels of management within the company
Impeccable time management and organization skills with the ability to set goals and help others reach them, focusing on driving results and meeting deadlines.
Proven ability to manage across global teams, with openness and respect for others’ cultures and identities, with superb leadership abilities to read and react with agility and composure
Strong experience in audit, risk and compliance principles, as well as technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with software and technology, including presentation programs and data sets; demonstrated ability to translate vision and concepts into deliverables and practice
Preferred:
Knowledge of agile auditing concepts.
Knowledge of data analytics and visualization techniques.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
