This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, self-starting attorney to join their practice and work on intriguing legal issues for a diversified client base, including lenders, hedge funds, and banks in corporate bankruptcies.Key Responsibilities:

Represent financial institutions, hedge funds, and other entities in complex financial restructuring, workout, and bankruptcy planning.

Prepares and file corporate bankruptcy petitions and handle the administration of bankruptcy cases on behalf of clients.

Lead negotiations and provide comprehensive legal advice and assistance in transactions.

Interpret and navigate bankruptcy law and regulations for clients.

Develop and arrange exit financing, debtor-in-possession financing, and the sale/purchase of assets in a bankruptcy context.

Communicate regular status updates to clients for ongoing cases.

Requirements

JD degree from an accredited law school.

A member in good standing of IL bar.

Having a minimum of 2 years of law firm experience in restructuring and bankruptcy.

Proficiency in advising clients on the financial and business implications of bankruptcy and restructuring.

Position Summary: The Department of Revenue seeks an experienced and progressive Senior Manager to lead the Corporate Excise Audit Group in its Multistate Audit Bureau. The Director – Corporate Excise manages around 35 employees. The Corporate Excise Group primarily conducts corporate excise (income-based) tax audits of out of state companies who have statutory obligations to file Massachusetts tax returns. The audit function is to determine compliance with statutory and regulatory provisions. The Director – Corporate Excise is responsible for successful governance of the following areas. Directly/indirectly manages the Multistate corporate excise management team and tax audit staff to achieve optimal levels of case completion with the highest level of quality.
