Demand Planner

We are looking for a Demand Planner to join our team in Chicago!As the Demand Planner, reporting to the Manager of Demand Planning, you will work with partners to develop the consensus forecast and translate it into a detailed 24-month operational forecast. You will focus on understanding volume drivers to improve forecast accuracy and highlight risk to support action plans to ensure plan delivery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for analytics and problem solving with the ability to convert analytic results into value-added actions.What you'll do:

Lead monthly S&OP forecast consensus process by working with partners in sales, brand, supply chain, and finance to obtain consistent forecast inputs

Work with production planning and deployment to translate the consensus forecasts into an operational forecast for the entire network

Ensure successful customer promotion execution through planning and applying customer event inputs

Engagement in forecasting of new item launches from ideation to production

Aid in the communication flow of changes to forecast and communicates information to all partners

Report on forecast accuracy and lead the refinement and improvement of forecasting process, tools, and systems to improve results

Support annual planning process for designated brands

Present findings that drive understanding, alignment, and informed decision-making

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree

A minimum of 2 years of relatable work experience

A basic understanding of supply chain processes and the downstream effects demand planning

Experience refining and maintaining advanced consumption/shipment machine learning or statistical models

Analytical skills and some statistical knowledge

Experience leading projects

Experience with Microsoft applications - Excel (Advanced formulas and pivot tables)
