Description We are in search of a detail-oriented and driven Desktop Support Analyst for a Chicago based contract position. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of prior IT support experience in a Windows-based environment, and familiarity with a ticketing system and Active Directory is preferred.Responsibilities:
Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications problems.
Resolving technical issues for end-users including problems with desktop computers, printers, application software, operating systems, and network connectivity.
Identify, evaluate and solve end-user workstation problems; support workstation performance.
Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot desktop systems, software, and peripheral devices.
Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
Ability to install, configure and maintain Windows-based software.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years of prior IT support experience working in a Windows environment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory.
Experience with ticketing systems is ideal.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Superior communication skills to interface with colleagues.
