Ownership for the strategy, teams and process for warranty, remedy, contract Incentives for all Tech Ops and outsourced component repair supplier performance to ensure that the organization is delivering what is required to exceed operational support
Responsible for maintenance and agreement compliance, operational and financial performance of team
Develop supplier strategy and operational support technologies to ensure our supplier management and partnerships are strong
Partner with Engineering, Global Procurement, Quality Control, Reliability, Line Maintenance and Supply Chain to support organizational goals
Supports supplier selection process from SME perspective and Performance Management activities
The team directly manages all warranty activity, enforces agreements for liquidated damages, incentives and remedies for agreements including OE commitments such as PSAA and SSC
Supports the development and negotiation of agreements with suppliers
Oversee supplier compliance including Site Audits and Quality escapes (QAI, Self Disclosure)
Oversees supplier transitions; ensures effective data integration occurs
Manages a capable Supplier Management team across US and International locations
Supplier Strategy – develop short-term to long-term supplier strategy to ensure United is in partnership with right suppliers (and alternative suppliers) that can support United’s growing demand
Supplier Relationships - engage with top suppliers at their leadership level to ensure suppliers are performing at agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contract compliance including remedies, incentives and liquidated damages; proactively surface key challenges with suppliers and work with their leadership team to mitigate such challenges
Review and evaluate United’s internal and suppliers’ processes for improvement, drive new automation creation and invest in better tracking and management including warranty processes
Analyze data in all aspects of the vendor network, review quality and warranty metrics and dashboards to pre-empt shortfalls, identify potential vulnerabilities and build alternative plans to resolve issues
Examine current contracts and formal agreements with quality and cost imperatives
Develop organizational strategy and team development needs to ensure capabilities and capacity to meet the mission across all locations and personnel
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Business, Technical, Aviation or related discipline
Minimum 7+ years vendor management and diverse organizational leadership experience
Strong communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Able to build relationships at all levels of an organization
Proficiency in MS Office suite of software
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree or 6 years of relevant work experience
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, LSS green belt
10+ years leading an organization
5+ years of supplier management experience
4+ years managing aircraft component repair activity
AGILE Project Management
Data Analytics experience (SQL)
Advanced skill in MS Office e.g.: VB
