We are a team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers that look ahead to new technologies and new form factors that fit in to Lenovo’s long-term vision of Smarter Technology for All.Description and RequirementsWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Summer 2024 Intern to join our team and assist with new product definition and design in our electrical engineering and baseband team.This internship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with our talented engineering professionals, engage in problem-solving, review and gain essential knowledge of mobile technology design and the engineering trade-offs that impact features, size, functionality, cost, and quality.Primary Responsibilities:

Work on a small product team and help to design innovative products, assisting with circuit design, testing/validation of hardware, and documenting test procedures

Collaborate with members of other teams (mechanical, antenna/RF, software) to achieve design goals and enable compelling customer experiences.

Use problem solving skills to find solutions to challenging technical problems and assist and learn from other engineers on the team.

Basic Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering or a related field.

Experience with the following technical skills: Strong foundations in the Scientific Method and Introductory courses in electrical engineering or similar (semiconductors, computer science, etc)

Preferred Qualifications :

Interest in mobile technology and mobile communications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Experience with/interest in designing digital and analog circuits.

Experience with/interest in microprocessors, power supplies, voltage regulators, batteries/charging, peripherals, sensors, and various hardware interfaces (MIPI, USB, SPI, I2C)

Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout.
