AECOM is seeking a highly motivated GIS Developer to support a key client in Chicago, Illinois. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with GIS experience related to enterprise system design, database management, and application development in addition to expertise in: ArcGIS (desktop, online, and enterprise); SQL Server, and programming languages such as Python, HTML, and JavaScript to support automation and web/mobile solutions; experience with data integration, versioned datasets, and quality control is essential; along with strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills. The duties listed below are intended only as general illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Job descriptions are subject to change as the needs of the client and requirements of the job change. The daily responsibilities of the GIS Developer may include the following tasks: Interface with client and DWM PMO program staff regarding project planning and goal setting, and expectation management. Collaborate with other GIS team members regarding product design and delivery requirements for the client. Monitor GIS database and system performance, address possible issues and ensure the continuous delivery of high quality information to the client. Manage existing GIS delivery workflows and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement.
