Full-Time Position Location - Chicago, IL/Remote (Must be located in the Chicagoland area)
Our client is looking to add a Group Product Manager that will own the vision and strategy of our core products and platforms, with responsibility for managing a team of product owners/managers and to build out new products to drive efficiencies into our business.
Essential Functions: Develop and champion for the product vision and roadmap of our core platform products based on business goals, user research, market, competitive analysis, data analysis, and in collaboration across the business Influence the business strategy and operations with product insights and a strong cross-functional partnership Lead and coach a small team of product managers to create products and platforms that support the scaling of the business. Unblock and empower the team as they deliver results Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and strategy, providing support for discovery/intake and visibility into the progress of initiatives Collaborate with PMO, BAs, Dev Leaders, Architecture on initiatives, ensure the voice of the customer and business needs are understood throughout development Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of processes to enhance outcomes, velocity, and product quality Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Develop personal growth opportunities Build and maintain the team by recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training
Required Experience: 3-5+ years’ experience building/managing complex enterprise, B2B, or internet products, from conception, launch, to scale Demonstrate the capability to translate complex business and product goals into clearly understandable product specifications Experience leading teams with diverse backgrounds in a technical organization to execute on a shared vision Ability to influence multiple stakeholders both with and without direct authority Ability to achieve strategic goals and evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends in an innovative and fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills Proficient in extracting insights from product metrics and making data-driven decisions Strong organizational skills and influence across various departments Entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action Strong empathy and deep understanding in customers’ frame of mind
Preferred Skills & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Finance or Accounting; an MBA or Master’s degree in technology or business related fields would be a plus Experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, SaaS, enterprise, internal tools, big data, security and privacy, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and/or complex supply chain networks Direct or managerial experience with products powered by machine learning. Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing. 2 years’ experience managing product managers at various levels, with proven results in hiring, career development, and retention
