Head, Business Information Support

This role leads business information and insights for US P&BB distribution and Specialty Sales, including the business strategies, support and maintenance for goal planning, performance tracking, and incentive plans. It is accountable for creating role clarity and ensuring role health within the distribution network. The role leads workforce planning and manages FTE planning for the business. It holds accountability for community impact programs including BMORE, the community benefits plan, external speaking/public relations activities, and community outreach with purpose. The role leads strategies on sales practice monitoring, ensuring systems are set up so that the salesforce can/do act with integrity and follow the spirit and the letter of the Code of Conduct. The role leads the strategic design and implementation of Distribution and Specialty Sales Lead Calling Programs. The role is also accountable to partner with the NA P&BB Data & Analytics team on upgrading and maintaining an improved customer relationship management tool for use by the salesforce. The role gathers and integrates information to promote the effective and profitable operation of the business/group and enhances the Bank’s profile in the marketplace. Works with stakeholders to interpret financial and business results, understands the operating environment & emerging trends and provides planning, support and recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and tracks achievement of objectives.

Develops the business case by identifying needs, analysing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment.

Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements, and develops roadmap for strategic execution.

Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.

Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.

Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.

Leads the execution of designated business programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.

Develops and manages comprehensive information management systems; designs and/or leads initiatives to improve processes, analysis, and reporting.

Plans and controls unit operating expenses in accordance with forecasts.

Makes recommendations to leaders on financial management processes based on changing requirements.

Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

Conducts independent review, analysis, and resolution of strategic issues.

Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.

Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.

Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensures alignment between stakeholders.

Employs systems (e.g., customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.

Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.

Qualifications:

Typically, 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Designs dashboards and analyses to be performed, and appropriate visualization and analytics tools to use. Works with other data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate and scale analysis into repeatable analytics solutions and decision support tools.

Translates business needs to technical specifications and evaluates existing data visualization systems in order to improve them.

Develops data visualizations of "large" amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers.

Documents data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.

Develops tools and delivers training programs for use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences.

Salary:$128,000.00 - $238,000.00Pay Type:SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
