Description We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry located in CHICAGO, Illinois. In this role, you will focus on various HR operational and administrative tasks, with a significant emphasis on full-cycle recruitment and onboarding. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Act as the primary recruiter for non-leadership positions and ensure staffing needs are met in coordination with department leaders. Post job vacancies on various platforms, review and screen candidates, and maintain an up-to-date applicant tracking system. Assist in coordinating interviews, including arranging schedules and booking rooms. Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process and coordinate the collection of all required new hire paperwork. Prepare new hire offer letters and coordinate with the Director of HR for signatures. Ensure the completion of new hire personnel files and maintain accurate personnel records. Lead the new hire orientation and assist the Director with benefits administration as needed. Communicate job offers, schedule pre-employment physicals and testing, and establish orientation/start dates. Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, and maintaining tracking records. Accurately enter employees' data into the HRIS and benefits enrollment system and process employment changes and terminations in the relevant HR systems. Assist with handbook and policy updates, coordinate staff training events or programs, and interact with employees, department heads, and/or job applicants as required. Requirements Must possess a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Proven experience as an HR Generalist in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry Deep understanding of Employee Relations and Corporate Recruiting Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Info Systems) and HR Administration procedures Experience in conducting interviews and personnel file maintenance Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity Knowledge of labor regulations and HR practices Strong organizational and time-management skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
