Location: Remote with about 10%-20% travel - Living in one of our key markets is strongly preferred - This includes the St. Louis area, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, or Austin

Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.ResponsibilitiesAs the Internal Communications Manager – Associate Experience, you will develop and implement communications plans and campaigns that strengthen Ascension’s culture, associate experience and operational priorities.Responsibilities:

Work closely with HR stakeholders and leaders to develop strategic priorities and create communications plans to achieve max associate engagement and understanding

Serve as communications strategist and manager for ABIDE, Ascension’s framework of Appreciation, Belongingness, Inclusivity, Diversity and Equity to drive associate culture

Develop internal communications content, campaigns and events that support our operational objectives and our internal brand

Collect, share and leverage insights from data and analytics from communications campaigns, articles and media

Support and maintain intranet pages relevant to stakeholders and business priorities.

Manage and create content series that brings to life Ascension associate experience for internal and external audiences

Proactively identify trends, risks, challenges and solutions to process adoption, and lead and support change communication efforts

Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus

Ensure that communications reflect the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church

Complexity of Work:

Requires outstanding writing skills, critical thinking skills, strategic counseling skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a high-performance environment with changing priorities - flexibility is key!

Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

#marketingcommunicationsRequirementsEducation:

High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional PreferencesEducation:

Bachelor's degree. 10 years in an internal communications role, ideally with experience working in a healthcare provider system or similar services organization.3 years of leadership or management experience.

Work Experience:

Experience with associate engagement and implementing large-scale change communications efforts

Ability to write communications plans as well as produce and edit engaging and visually appealing content using a variety of channels and media

Experience supporting senior leaders with strategic communications counsel

Experience planning and managing a coordinated content approach that directly impacts engagement of key audiences in support of our business goals

Strong collaboration skills with other team members

Proven driver and communicator across matrixed organizations, helping to gain internal buy-in and support

Experience with diversity, equity and inclusion communications preferred

Journalism or communications degree preferred.

Social media content and video experience a plus but not required
