Set and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines ensuring timely and accurate operations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement standards for data content, data mapping, and documentation within the organization to support quality data and accurate coding for payment purposes. Investigate issues surrounding data variability to quantify their impact and identify solutionsMonitor data and metric reports and react appropriately to ensure departmental goals are achievedContribute to design, implementation, training, and ongoing evaluation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) which support collection of high-quality data at the point of care. Lead abstracting and retrieval of medical data used for evaluation, planning or research in health care and health-related programsSeek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. BA/BS in Nursing with certifications in one of the following: CCDS, CPHQ, CCS
Specialized skills in one or more of the following areas: Clinical Documentation Improvement, Case - - Management and HIM/Coding
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a project-based operations performance improvement role within a hospital/clinical setting hospital and/or consulting firm environment focused on healthcare provider operations and/or process re-engineering projects
Minimum 1 year of experience managing major projects for large, complex healthcare organizations with multiple stakeholders
Willingness and ability to travel every week (Monday-Thursday)
