Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect who has transitioned from a Network Engineer role and possesses extensive experience with F5 Load Balancing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on the AWS platform while leveraging their background in networking and load balancing technologies to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.Responsibilities:Cloud Architecture Design: Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on the AWS platform, taking into account best practices, industry standards, and business requirements.Migration Strategy: Develop migration strategies for transitioning on-premises workloads to the cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.Networking Expertise: Utilize networking expertise to design and implement robust network architectures within AWS, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and VPN connections.Load Balancing Configuration: Leverage previous experience with F5 Load Balancing to configure and optimize load balancing solutions within AWS, ensuring high availability and efficient distribution of incoming traffic.Security Implementation: Implement security best practices within AWS environments, including IAM policies, encryption mechanisms, and network security controls.Automation and Orchestration: Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline deployment processes, improve scalability, and enhance operational efficiency.Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor performance metrics and proactively optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Network Engineer with in-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
Extensive experience with F5 Load Balancing solutions, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
