Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Actively guard and scan the pool area Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazards in the pool and aquatics areaEnforce pool rules and policies, and help to educate students and visitors about themAssist in clearing all swimmers from the water when necessaryAssist students and other pool visitors in non-emergency situationsRecognize and respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies, following training and facility protocolsReport any unsafe conditions or equipmentAssist in educating students about safe pool use and help provide swim instruction or manage pool games when appropriatePerform general pool or locker room maintenance or other tasks in the pool area as assigned.Participate in regular in-service training; maintain certification and physical ability/fitness level in order to effectively respond to an emergencyPerform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
