Senior Associate - Tax

Description We are inviting applications for the position of Senior Associate - Tax in our Chicago, Illinois office. This role primarily revolves around tax accounting and compliance with a focus on K1's and multi-state returns. The position demands a high level of proficiency with ProSystems FX and the ability to collaborate with various departments.Responsibilities Manage and organize tax data using ProSystems FX effectively. Prepare and review complex K1's and multi-state tax returns. Ensure all tax filings are in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax legislation. Develop and monitor the company's taxation strategies to ensure optimal tax benefits. Identify potential tax savings and suggest methods to increase profits. Conduct internal audits and recommend procedural improvements. Communicate clearly and concisely to keep all stakeholders updated. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax or accounting role Proficiency in CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax software Well-versed in various accounting functions Strong auditing abilities Thorough understanding of tax compliance requirements Excellent customer service skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and oral communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
