AECOM is seeking a motivated, technically experienced, Senior Electrical Engineer based in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading technically proficient teams, designing custom solutions, mentoring mid-level and junior staff, and developing calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications for electrical work. Job Summary/Responsibilities 
The Sr. Electrical Engineer should be capable of leading and developing teams to complete both small and large projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required. Candidate must be well organized, be able to demonstrate critical thinking and can quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution. 
 
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to: Be self-motivated with strong work ethic and take pride in your work Serve as a Discipline Leader for our Illinois team Complete electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes Make major design recommendations and design decisions Plan design work, calculate costs, and prepare schedules to assign design duties to junior staff  Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files Act as an adviser and reviews correspondence prepared by junior project team members Evaluate project staffing requirements, analyzes problems, and writes reports Attend project meetings, or when appropriate, delegates activities Meet with clients, prepares proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations Identify prospective clients, assists in marketing to develop new clients, and develops future projects with existing clients Assist in project checking for quality control on other projects Have knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans and drawings Switch between work on multiple/different projects daily Represent the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizations
