Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of civil/site engineering projects.
Prepare site layout, grading, drainage & utility designs and drawings.
Perform stormwater management calculations, design, and H&H modeling.
Prepare erosion control documents including permitting and SWPPP submittals.
Perform construction administration support.
Coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams as needed to finalize all design details.
Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met.
Determine client requirements and contribute to the development of scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Utilize relationships with clients to achieve WSP's business development goals.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You AreRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
P.E. registration in Illinois or ability to obtain in 6 months
5-7 years of experience in civil site design
Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills
Experience leading design tasks and managing junior design staff
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Ability to implement WSP's Quality Control Procedures
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience having led and mentored a team
Business development experience
Active member of local professional organizations
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
