Drive cloud native and designed for failure architectures across the Data Lakehouse implementation
Automate and streamline Cloud infrastructure processes and DevOps tasks while improving self-service capabilities using public cloud platform (AWS) and open-source technologies
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions
Maintain performance, security, and availability of production data platform to achieve 99.99% uptime
Strategize and build automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using Shell/Python scripts or tools like Jenkins, Terraform and Spinnaker
Configure observability dashboards with automated alerts and monitoring and act on any outages/incidents
Promote security best practices and principles to ensure that the infrastructure and data is secured all the time
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advance level experience in one or more programming language(s) such as C, Java, Python, Unix Shell
Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, data lifecycle, database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, SQL/relational data models, RDS, Oracle and/or Databricks
Proficient in REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Proficient knowledge of linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
Exposure to cloud technologies
