This contract role as a Sr. System Administrator in Chicago, IL is responsible for providing technical leadership in the formulation, execution, deploy and Administer the Mule API/ESB runtimes on-prem and on Azure could infrastructure; developing processes, procedures, policies, and standards for MuleSoft products that require Ansible playbook/shell scripts automation to support day-to-day tasks/patching activities. This role is remote until a return to work is established.


Understanding of the latest cloud trends and best practices, including Cloud-Native, DevOps, Microsoft Azure and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (IaaS/ SaaS / PaaS) (infrastructure-as-a- Service/Software-as-a-Service / Platform-as-a-Service). .
Experience in Installing and configurating of Mule or IBM WebSphere Application server.
Familiarity and operational support experience on MuleSoft/WAS/IBM MQ/
Automation/shell script development experience with an enterprise-level system for automating the day-to-day activities.
Robust proficiency in windows Linux & CLI .
Systems Engineer/Administrator must be able to function with limited direction and guidance and be able to diagnose a wide variety of problems.
Strong knowledge of configuration management software such as, Ansible, BladeLogic.
Must be able to accurately assess problems and if necessary, communicate the problem information to peers, support groups, management, and HW/OS vendors.
Solve complex issues and challenges faced by teams adopting new and modern technologies.
Analyze and monitor performance bottlenecks and key metrics to optimize software and system performance.
Proactively detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving all issues affecting production applications. This involves coordination with and escalation to development and external teams where necessary
CI/CD experience using Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Experience in a customer-facing capacity, support, or consulting role and Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision is required.
Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills Knowledge in developing and implementing process improvements and Enjoy collaborating with teammates and partners and take initiative to solve problems using a scientific approach.
