VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Are you between the ages of 15-34? Do you sometimes have any of the following experiences:
- Feeling confused about what is real or imaginary
- Feeling like you are not in control of your own thoughts
- Feeling suspicious or paranoid
- Hearing or seeing things that may not be there
- Having trouble communicating clearly
The ADAPT Program at Northwestern University is looking for healthy individuals who have
NEVER been diagnosed with a mental illness but who have experienced some of the things
listed above to participate in a paid research study on information processing.
The study consists of 2-3 visits, one of which will take 3-4 hours and the other two will take 1-2
hours each. You will be paid $25 per hour up to $187 for your time and participation.
At the visit we will ask several questions about you and your experiences, and we will ask you to
complete simple paper and pencil questionnaires as well as computerized tasks that are
designed to measure how you think about social information (for example, answering questions
about pictures you are shown). There are no risks associated with participating in this study
besides getting bored or anxious.
If you are interested, please email adapt@northwestern.edu or click on the link below to provide us with general contact
information. One of our research associates will contact you if you are a good fit for the study.
